Role Overview

We're seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our core team in Exeter. You'll play a crucial role in developing our innovative social music platform, working primarily with Laravel on the backend and React Native for mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and optimize backend services using Laravel
Build and refine mobile applications with React Native
Work closely with our product and design leads to implement key features
Ensure system scalability, performance, and security
Contribute to code reviews and architectural decisions
Help streamline our development processes

Requirements

Proven experience with Laravel and React Native
Strong skills in PHP, JavaScript, and related web technologies
Solid grasp of RESTful APIs and mobile app development principles
Proficiency with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices
Sharp problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
Excellent communication abilities, crucial for our tight-knit team

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Kotlin/Java (Android) and Objective-C/Swift (iOS)
Background in music-related or social media applications
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices
Understanding of algorithms for music recommendation systems
Knowledge of graph theory for social network modeling
